Don't know where to start? If so, this is the right place to be! This page will provide you with information you need to know about Roleplay Media.

Introduction

Roleplay Media is a community-focused place where roleplayers can socialize, create ideas, form connections, and most importantly roleplay. Our purpose is to create a welcoming, safe, and civil community for roleplayers.

What Can I Do on Roleplay Media?

There are plenty of things to do. You can brainstorm ideas, socialize with other roleplayers, form connections, create fictional worlds, write lore, and much more to list! Roleplay Media is a place for anyone, whether you're new to roleplaying, currently learning, or experienced in roleplaying.

The Basics

To get started with creating content here on Roleplay Media, you'll first have to learn a few of the basics, such as how to create a page, how to edit, how to create/add a category, and so on.

How to create a page

There are two ways to create a page; you can create a page by using the "Create page" button on the main page (type in the name of your page in the input box next to it, and then click "Create page"), or by typing in your page's name in the search bar, and then clicking on the red highlighted text which should look something like this: "Create the page 'your page name' on this wiki!". After performing either of these ways, you should be on a page that is called "Creating 'your page name'".

Adding content

You can simply add text/content by clicking on the text box, and begin typing. You can also upload images to your page, but the way of uploading an image depends on which text editor you are using. There are two types of text editors on Roleplay Media: the source editor and the visual editor. The source editor is the default editor, while the visual editor is the second, optional one that shows more detail and has tools to make your editing experience a bit easier.

Adding images in source editor

Step 1 — Click on the picture frame icon.

Step 2 — When the "Insert file" box appears, click on the "Upload button".

Step 3 — You can then upload an image by either clicking on "Select a file", or dropping an image in from your computer. Do not forget to mark the "This is my own work" box.

Step 4 — After performing Step 3, check the "This is my own work" box like you did in Step 3, and then click "Upload". If you've uploaded the wrong file, then you can click on the small black X circle that is next to your image's name.

Step 5 — Create a description for your image, make sure that you have a filename for your image, and then click "Save".

Step 6 — Finally, click "Insert" to add your image to your page.

That's it! This is how your page should look like after these steps.
